MFT2U Trainers:
Mobile Fitness 2U was founded by Scott McTeer to connect great personal trainers in Austin, Texas with in-home clients who want to be more physically fit.
Scott trains clients independently at Gym-One (Anderson & Shoal Creek) and also does MF2U training, specializing in functional body-shaping and functional fitness for the older adult. He wants to focus on training in-home clients for 1 month and then once a month thereafter.)
Scott is a former pro tennis player and has been a coach and personal trainer for 200+ clients. A year-round athlete for 32 years, he’s competed in 250+ tennis tournaments in 20 countries and in 1988 was among the Top 40 American pro players.
He’s been certified as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), as a Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE), as an Older Adult Trainer by the American Institute of Fitness Educators (AIFE) and as a Flexibility Coach with the International Fitness Professional Association (IFPA).
Scott’s consulted extensively with the Duke and University of Missouri Men’s Basketball teams and with several NBA players, including Elton Brand, Shane Battier and Carlos Boozer.
He received his B.A. in English in 1988 from Duke University, where he earned a full athletic scholarship. He’s the author of two health and fitness books: Your Body, Your Life--Eating & Exercise Fundamentals (2003) and Our Body, Our Life (2005).
Stewart Johnson has been a yoga instructor and certified personal fitness trainer since 1984. He received his Hatha Yoga teacher training in the style of BKS Iyengar. He’s also taught Tai Chi and Pilates. He was a student strength coach at UT and has trained in body building, power lifting, distance running and mountain biking.
His passion is helping older adults become functionally fit through yoga, Pilates and strength training.
Crystal McReynolds graduated from Texas Tech University with a BS in Kinesiology and a minor in Nutrition. She’s a Certified Personal Trainer through the Cooper Institute and a Level 1 Certified CrossFit Instructor. Her Nutrition degree helps her coach clients in nutrition and weight loss. She’s been an athlete her entire life (basketball, volleyball and track).
Crystal’s degree in Kinesiology has greatly influenced how she trains clients. Her knowledge of biomechanics helps her know how a person should be performing different activities and helps her correct form that might cause injury. Her knowledge of the human body has also helped her know what areas need to be trained to enhance daily functional movement and activity.
Crystal’s passion is helping people of all ages become functionally fit and more athletic.
